About Me
Andy Poetzinger is a Play-by-Play Announcer from the Southwest Suburbs of Chicago. Broadcasting has been a dream of his since he was 4 years old and was running around the house pretending to be Pat Foley, the legendary Blackhawks broadcaster.

He has been doing local broadcasting for the past 10+ years. He got his start by broadcasting the NIHL Championship hockey games with Jaguars TV. In 2016, he spent the season as Broadcaster for the Robert Morris University ACHA Division 1 team before becoming the Play-by-Play man for the Chicago Cougars USPHL team the next year.
On June 26, 2024, it was announced that Andy would become the new Director of Communications and Broadcasting for the Baton Rouge Zydeco of the FPHL. ​

Andy started his tenure with the Indiana Sentinels on January 2, 2026 and has assisted the organization in expanding their broadcast to include: a pre-game show, interviews with the players and coaching staff, as well as implementing more opportunities for media sponsorships
​
It has been Andy's dream to have broadcasting be his profession and he is excited for any and all opportunities that come his way.

Andy currently resides in Chicago, IL with his husband Justin, and their two dogs Wrigley and Binny.
